Golf Hilton Head, SC
Ocean Course
Sea Pines Plantation
The Ocean Course was designed by the late George Cobb
and opened in 1962 as the first golf course on Hilton Head Island.
Completely redesigned and rebuilt in 1995 by Mark McCumber,
Hilton Head's oldest course is now its newest. Its four sets
of tees ensure a fair and challenging round for players
at every skill level. The signature par three 15th still plays
straight out to the ocean, often directly into the teeth of the
wind, to a green well protected by bunkers.
The course plays from 5,289 from the ladies' tees
to 6,933 from the championship tees, all
at par 72.
