  • Sheldon Church - Built in 1746, burned in the revolutionary war, rebuilt and burned again in the Civil War. The historic ruins are located about 15 miles out Rt. 21 toward Rt. 95, on Sheldon Road
  • St. Helena's Episcopal Church, Church St., Beaufort - built in 1724. Wander around the graveyard whose tombstones served as operating tables during the Civil War.
