Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan And Orange Beach form the gulf coast area of
Baldwin County in the southwestern portion of Alabama bordering the Gulf of
Mexico. Once separated from the mainland, Pleasure Island, on which Gulf
Shores is located, was connected in 1933 by a bridge over the Intracoastal
Waterway. Gulf Shores has grown rapidly since that time, and continues to
attract residents, visitors and entrepreneurs with its beautiful sandy
beaches, mild climate and numerous business opportunities.
